seed extrusion system.
Extru-Tech,
Inc. recently introduced the new Extru-Soy E525 oil seed
protein extrusion System. The system is specifically designed
for cooking oil seed proteins such as soybeans, sunflower and
rape seed. Extrusion processing enhances the finished product
through:
• Denaturing the protein
• Destroying growth inhibitors
• Rupturing oil cells
• Gelatinization of the starch molecules
• Sterilization
Capacities
range from 2,000 to 3,000 lbs/hr (900 to 1400 kg/hr.) The
entire system is designed for efficient, long-term production
with low maintenance and input costs.
