Dryer
technology with total airflow flexibility.

Each dryer
section consists of a "top" and "bottom"
module. The chambers are physically separated to manage air
flow through each conveyor independently, even within the same
drying section. An "air-up" or "air-down"
airflow arrangement can be configured independently for each
conveyor. This design only allows the air to pass through one
bed prior to recirculation. This minimizes the air temperature
drop, which improves efficiency as well as the uniformity of
the drying through the bed.
A combination of
recirculation air and make-up air is heated by the
centrally positioned heating system in the top air plenum. The
air is forced into the side plenums by two recirculation fans
mounted on opposite sides of the top air plenum. The two fans
provide uniform airflow across the entire width of the product
conveyors and help to minimize moisture deviation across the
product beds. The result is finished product with less than
1/2 percentage point deviation in moisture across the 10'
width of each bed.
Extru Tech's® Airflow Two
Technology is most widely utilized in two pass
configurations. A three pass model is available for specific
applications. The three-pass model provides an unlimited
combination of airflow and product controls for your most
challenging products.
